Canadian Beaver Tale for December 12th!
Guglielmo Marconi, an Italian inventor known as the father of long distance radio transmission, sent the first radio message across the Atlantic Ocean from Signal Hill, Newfoundland to Cornwall, England on December 12th, 1901. He transmitted three clicks which means “S” in Morse code. While Newfoundland technically wasn’t a part of Canada until 1949, we can still consider it a part of Canadian History!
